Next week, WWE Smackdown will bring the fallouts from this Sunday’s premium live event, Hell in a Cell. Apart from that, a number of segments for the June 10 episode have been confirmed during this week’s episode. This includes a championship match, a big return onboard, and a revelation regarding a new recruit for a building faction.
Intercontinental Champion Ricochet will defend his title on WWE SmackDown, next week against Gunther (fka WALTER). This comes after the two featured in multiple altercations on TV. Ricochet and Gunther also appeared on this week’s episode to hype up their match with backstage promo segments.

As noted, The two men have been in a rivalry for a few weeks while Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser also defeated Ricochet and Drew Gulak in a tag team match on the May 27 WWE SmackDown episode. As a result of this non-title win, Gunther is getting an IC Title match.
WWE Smackdown: Lacey Evans is coming back to the blue brand
Lacey Evans is switching from WWE Raw to the WWE SmackDown roster as her return to in-ring action was announced for next week’s episode. Her opponent has not been named. Originally, this return to action was scheduled to happen on this week’s Raw but Evans was a no-show. Evans has not wrestled since the February 15, 2021 episode of Raw, where she and Peyton Royce lost to Asuka and Charlotte Flair in a tag team bout.
Following the absence on TV, this week, PWInsider claimed that Evans was being moved back to the WWE SmackDown roster following her brief stint on the Red Brand. The report didn’t reveal any explanation as to why the Sassy Southern Belle was switching brands, again. But the report turned out to be correct with WWE’s confirmation.
Also announced for next week’s WWE SmackDown is Max Dupri’s [FKA LA Knight in NXT] revelation of the first client of his Maximum Male Models stable. No update is available as of this writing on which Superstar would be unveiled as his first client but for the time being, Dupri has been playing the role of manager for the superstars like Mansoor and Mace in dark matches over the past few weeks.
