Edge was back on TV during the July 7 episode of WWE Smackdown as part of a loaded card from the mecca of professional wrestling, Madison Square Garden in New York City. The veteran was ecstatic to be back at the infamous arena which had already earned him so many memorable moments in his career.
Over on the latest episode of WWE Smackdown, Edge created some more memories at the MSG. First, he taught a lesson to Grayson Waller and then dictated the good news that he was not retiring soon enough. Later that night, he also defeated Waller in his singles debut on the main roster.

In a sink-or-swim situation for Waller, Edge eventually bested Waller in the longest match of the evening and then put him over in a big way by stating that he swam. The Rated-R Superstar also achieved yet another major milestone in his illustrious wrestling career.
PWI’s Brian Solomon mentioned that Edge became the seventh wrestler to compete at Madison Square Garden in four different decades (1990s, 2000s, 2010s, 2020s). His career began in 1998 and it was in that same year that he debuted at MSG by teaming up with Sable as mentioned on WWE Smackdown,
“Edge was the longest-tenured wrestler to compete last night at MSG, with a career there dating back to 1998. He’s the 7th wrestler to compete at MSG in four different decades (including all incarnations of the building)”

Edge excited to be back on WWE Smackdown for his 25th anniversary
Edge was initially supposed to be in action at Summerslam, next month. But the current updates suggest that he might end up missing the show, after all with no such storylines involved with him. Rather, he would be focused on celebrating his 25th anniversary.
Next month, WWE Smackdown will have a TV taping in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and the WWE Hall of Famer gets to celebrate in his home country. Besides during a conversation on Smackdown LowDown, Edge also indicated visiting Raw or NXT brand to enjoy a hell of a time in his career,
“It’s a celebration. This is my dream job. I wasn’t meant to do anything else in this world. This is what I was supposed to do, and I’m one of the lucky few that has found what he was supposed to do, and then did it. Not only did it, but [points to himself on a poster at Madison Square Garden]. For me, this is insane.”
