The 2022 Season Premiere of WWE Smackdown was an eventful episode that had an Intercontinental Title Match in the main event segment. WWE Hall of Famer Triple H was onboard to welcome the WWE Universe whereas Roman Reigns and Logan Paul came face-to-face to hype up things for their upcoming title match.

Additionally, it was teased that former WWE Superstar Sarah Logan is set to return as the manager of The Viking Raiders. A vignette aired on WWE Smackdown season premier hyping the return of Erik and Ivar, who have been away from the ring since their win over The New Day in a Vikings Rule Match on the September 2 episode.

That was taped episode as the match actually took place on the August 26 edition of WWE Smackdown. During that match, Erik reportedly suffered a foot injury which was further confirmed by Michael Cole on commentary. Due to this, The Vikings have to be sidelined from the action but they are now promising to be back with newly found inspiration from a mystery woman.

Sarah Logan to be reintroduced on WWE Smackdown

In the aforementioned vignette on WWE Smackdown, that woman was shown dressed in fur and wearing a headdress, standing in front of The Viking Raiders’ shields. Her face was obviously covered but she could be heard saying the following, “When the gods speak, I listen. We obey. Valhalla awaits.”

In an update to the situation, it was reported by Fightful Select that the woman in the vignette was Sarah Logan, the real-life wife of Erik. The report also suggested that several more “Valhalla Awaits” segments will be airing on WWE Smackdown in the following weeks as Logan will be reintroduced to WWE fans following her two-year absence.

The former Riott Squad member made her WWE exit in April 2020 and announced that she would be stepping away from professional wrestling “for the foreseeable future.” She made her in-ring comeback in the Women’s Royal Rumble Match, earlier this year by entering the battle royal at the number 25 spot to have a reunion with her Riott Squad stablemate Liv Morgan. Recently, she made a cameo on the August 19 episode of WWE SmackDown, appearing in The Viking Funeral segment for The New Day.
