Ronda Rousey and Liv Morgan have been involved in a feud over the summer of 2022 and they have taken shots at each other on several occasions. The latter won the title from the former UFC Hall of Famer in the first place and ended up earning fame, capitalizing on it, to say the least.
The third time, these two will collide inside the squared circle will be at Extreme Rules 2022. Ronda Rousey recently won a Fatal-5-Way Elimination Match to earn a shot at Morgan’s title at the upcoming WWE premium live event. On her way to victory, she submitted three opponents but that wasn’t enough to impress the reigning Smackdown Women’s Champion.

Ronda Rousey and Liv Morgan share quite the history
Before Extreme Rules 2022, Liv Morgan and Ronda Rousey squared off on two separate occasions over the blue brand women’s title. The first time it happened was at the Money in the Bank PLE where Morgan successfully cashed in her Money in the Bank contract on Rousey just hours after winning it to become the new Smackdown Women’s Champion.
The two then competed in a rematch later that month at Summerslam where Morgan ended up retaining but in a controversial fashion. Ronda Rousey was on her back and had Liv trapped in the Armbar but the referee never spotted that Morgan tapped out to Ronda’s Armbar. Rather she was awarded the pinfall victory since the challenger was down with her shoulders on the mat.
Now, Ronda Rousey will be gunning to get back her title but Liv Morgan isn’t worried about it. Speaking about facing the baddest woman on the planet at Extreme Rules 2022, the champion had the following to say in a backstage interview,
“I am literally the only person on this planet to defeat you twice. So, if there’s anyone you should respect, it’s me. But no. Instead, you want to say the same things I’ve heard my whole entire career. Liv Morgan isn’t good enough…Liv Morgan doesn’t deserve to be champion. But last time I checked, both times, your shoulders were on the mat, my arm was raised, and this [SmackDown Women’s Championship] was put on my waist.”
