WWE Smackdown was taped from Houston, Texas with the new WWE World heavyweight champion Roman Reigns kicking off the show. With the fresh win against the 14 time WWE champion Triple H, Reigns once again declared himself as “the guy” and seemed ready to take every challenge possibly put against him. The number one contender AJ Styles came down to the ramp. The Phenomenal One claimed that he has won all the championships all over the world. Reigns asserted that to be the champion in WWE, Styles has to beat him. He also vowed that he had never beaten him and never will beat him in future ending the segment thereby. Vaudevillains def. Lucha Dragons

Vaudevillains i.e. the unique combination of Aiden English & Simon Gotch made an impressive WWE SmackDown debut against The Lucha Dragons as promised on WWE Raw. They have got a warm reception from the crowd and took care of business by taking out Sin Cara outside the ring before dropping United States Champion Kalisto with the earth-shattering Whirling Dervish for the three-count.

Natalya def. Summer Rae

Natalya deserves a title shot. She is perhaps the best technical and veteran wrestler present in the ring at this time. After the heated confrontation on Raw, Charlotte took her seat in the ringside commentary to watch the match between Natalya taking on Summer Rae. The Queen of Harts won the match by locking in the Sharpshooter to Summer Rae. The question is will Natalya be able to book a match against Charlotte in the near future.

The Miz def. Zack Ryder (Intercontinental Championship)

After the interference from Maryse, The Miz was successful to capture the Intercontinental title for the 5th time in his career. On WWE Smackdown, Maryse introduced him for the championship match and once again proved worthy of being standing beside the ringside. A determined Ryder was willing to pull out all the stops to reach the top of the mountain for the second time in a week. Maryse distracted both the referee and the challenger by untying one of the turnbuckles and throwing it into the ring and make the opportunity for Miz to hit with the Skull crushing finale for the win.

Apollo Crews def. Curtis Axel

Apollo Crews made his debut on WWE Raw, Monday and kept his momentum going on WWE Smackdown, too. Anyway, while Axel won that battle with his cohorts, he would not win the war. Instead, Crews used his mixture of high-flying ability and all-out power to deflect the interference by Bo Dallas, Heath Slater, and Adam Rose and reign supreme over his opponent with an earth-shattering Spin-Out Powerbomb.

Dean Ambrose def. Tyler Breeze

Dean Ambrose returned to settle into actions on WWE Smackdown after his Wrestlemania match against Brock Lesnar and faced Tyler Breeze. The Lunatic Fringe quite easily toppled off Prince Pretty first with the clothesline and then with the devastating Dirty deeds.

AJ Styles & Cesaro def. Kevin Owens & Chris Jericho

After AJ Styles, Cesaro, Kevin Owens and Chis Jericho all competed in a whirlwind Fatal 4-Way Match for a WWE World Heavyweight Title opportunity on Raw, they battled in WWE SmackDown’s tag team main event. In the midst of the high-dramatic actions, Sami Zayn emerged into the ring to vow revenge against Kevin Owens which allowed AJ Styles to roll KO up for the victory. That ignited a fierce post-match brawl between Owens and Zayn that ended with Zayn being viciously thrown into the steel ring steps and KO being forcefully pulled away by WWE officials.
