One of the top superstars of the WWE roster, AJ Styles was taken out of action last year with a broken ankle. This unfortunate injury forced him to miss Wrestlemania 39 in Hollywood as he had to spend a long time at home, rehabbing the injury. Although there was no update on his training sessions at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, his return was on the deck as he could avoid undergoing surgery.
This past Friday night during the WWE Draft 2023 Night One, SmackDown drafted the entire OC stable comprising AJ Styles, Mia Yim, and the Good Brothers to make a great acquisition. The stable is speculated to make a huge impact on the blue brand with Triple H in charge of things.

AJ Styles and his stable found their way to the ring on Smackdown. This was the stable leader’s first appearance on WWE television since suffering the injury in December 2022. He did not get involved in any match during that appearance. Rather, he sat on a turnbuckle as his stable took out the Viking Raiders and Valhalla. Afterward, The Phenomenal One delivered The Phenomenal Forearm on Ivar to conclude the segment.

AJ Styles is back full-time on WWE in the main event
In an update to AJ Styles’ return on Smackdown, Ringside News reached out to confirm whether the former two-time champion is back full-time. A tenured source within the WWE has informed them that he is 100% cleared to compete. AJ mostly sitting on the ropes during the brawl on SmackDown doesn’t mean that he was instructed to do minimum stunts due to any medical condition.
It was also mentioned that The Good Brothers – Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson have a clause in their WWE contracts that says they don’t have to be anywhere near WWE TV if they’re not booked. Since AJ Styles suffered an ankle injury, the two were therefore not seen on WWE TV. Now that their long-time ally has come back on TV, they’re also expected to make regular appearances after the 2023 WWE Draft.
In more bright updates regarding the returnees on WWE Smackdown, Xero News has stated that Roman Reigns is currently scheduled to collide against AJ Styles, next with his undisputed WWE title on the line. That match could be going down at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia.
