As seen on this week’s SmackDown, Liv Morgan came back from the injury to provide backup to her former tag team partner Raquel Rodriguez during a face-off segment against Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler. The face-off happened right after Rousey and Baszler became the unified WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions by defeating former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn.
Rodriguez was present during the match on SmackDown at ringside but she never got involved to influence the outcome. Once the match was over, Rodriguez was heading backstage. As she was walking out through the entrance stage, Rousey and Baszler verbally blasted her and she ended up returning to the ring.
Rodriguez then stated she wanted a match for “the titles we never lost.” It was then that Liv Morgan made her entrance and stood by Raquel’s side. The two teams had a face-off to end the segment.

Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez had to vacate WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships
Liv Morgan was one of the mainstay features on WWE programming over the past few months and throughout the Wrestlemania 39 season. As one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions with another top babyface Rodriguez, she was enjoying quite the competition until those momentums came to an end due to a sudden injury.
Before this week’s SmackDown, the last time we have seen Liv Morgan on WWE television was during the May 12 episode of Smackdown. On that night, she and Raquel Rodriguez went through a title defense against Bayley and Dakota Kai. But Kai delivered a kick that accidentally ruptured Liv’s shoulder. Even Kai herself went through a torn ACL in that match that required surgery.
Due to that injury, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were forced to vacate their tag titles. Moving on, Rousey and Baszler came back after a short hiatus on WWE TV and won those vacant titles in a fatal-4-way match on the May 29 episode of Raw and have held them ever since. Now that they’ll be known as unified tag champs, chances are high that their first title defense will be against the former champion duos. It will also be culminating in a nixed feud from the post-WrestleMania 39 seasons.
