WWE Smackdown Live Full Results: February 12, 2019
WWE Smackdown presented the go-home episode of Smackdown Live for Elimination Chamber 2019, last night. A Gauntlet match featuring the competitors of the WWE title match was the headliner. Also, the McMiz TV aired on the show for the first time. Here are the full results from the show that aired from the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio.
Charlotte Flair kicked off this week’s Smackdown Live in the midst of boos all around the crowd. She took it all upon herself and yelled back at the crowd that Vince McMahon made the rightmost decision. It’s a smart idea since she is a future Hall of Famer. Also, she declared that at Elimination Chamber, she will have a front row seat to see who sins the match between Ronda Rousey and Ruby Riott.
The opening contest of this week’s Smackdown was a three-way tag team contest. The lineup was Carmella & Naomi vs The IIconics vs Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville. Carmella controlled the match in the early going performing some athletic moves. Naomi got the tag and performed a split-legged to Deville. Mandy Rose got the tag but ran away from Naomi. They eventually received the tag as Naomi hammered away on Mandy. She also threw Deville out allowing Mella to hit her with a superkick. Naomi hit her finisher on Mandy to get the win. Mandy and Sonya will go first in this year’s Elimination Chamber. After the match, the IIconics attacked Naomi and Carmella from the back.
The McMiz TV was next on Smackdown Live with The Miz cutting his usual fired-up promos. He mentioned how the BEST TAG TEAM IN THE WORLD won the SmackDown Tag Team Champions at Royal Rumble. The Usos joined them inside the ring with the crowd heavily rooting for them. They failed to agree with the champs and eventually hit the superkick on them before walking away.
We received a big update on the WWE Championship match at Elimination Chamber. Mustafa Ali will not compete in it due to injury. So a member of The New Day will replace him on this Sunday night. Kofi Kingston will be the member to represent The New Day.
The Gauntlet match was next on Smackdown with Daniel Bryan starting off against Kofi Kingston. Bryan cut a promo on how Ali injured himself and can’t compete at Chamber. Kofi and The New Day members were doing their funny antics before the match began. Bryan ate a big drop-kick from Kofi when Rowan tried to interfere. But Kofi came back into the match and hit the Trouble in Paradise to pick up the win.
Jeff Hardy joined the match with Kofi, next. Kofi hit a cross-body on Jeff and landed the SOS to eliminate Hardy. Samoa Joe arrived on Smackdown to take on Kofi, next. He received a tremendous amount of punishment from Joe before turning things around. Joe had the Coquina Clutch locked in but Kofi flipped over using the ropes to pin and eliminate him! Joe attacked him after the match and passed him out with his submission.
AJ Styles was out next in the Gauntlet match. He showed respect to Kofi Kingston and eliminated him via the Calf Crusher, finally! Randy Orton joined Styles inside the ring starting the last bout of the Gauntlet. Orton did not come out from the ramp just to hit an RKO from the back and get the pinfall win to close Smackdown Live.
The miracle run of @TrueKofi just came to an end…
