WWE Smackdown Live came up with the fallouts of MITB PPV. A gauntlet match was the main event of the night.
A returning James Ellsworth noted on the reason behind joining Carmella. Plus a new tag team debuted on the show. Here are the results from the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio.
Paige kicked off this week’s Smackdown Live. She informed us about the gauntlet match waiting for us on the show. The winner will face AJ Styles for his WWE Championship.
Carmella comes down to the ring to cut a vicious heel promo. Asuka’s music hit, as someone dressed as Asuka comes down to the ring. It was none other than Ellsworth. He disclosed he is back on Mella’s corner. Asuka showed up to hit Ellsworth on the stomach. But Mella put her down with a superkick.
Becky Lynch took on Billie Kay on Smackdown Live. The IIconics talked a lot of trash about Lynch before entering the ring. Lynch pounced on Kay to seek redemption as the bell rang. Peyton provided the distraction for her buddy. But Lynch took her out with a jump and locked in the dis-arm-her on Kay to get the win.
SAnitY vs The Usos was about to take place on Smackdown Live. Usos showed up and cut a promo on a new team wanting to make a name for themselves. SAnitY came from behind and attacked The Usos straight to deliver a statement. The match never took place.
Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson took on the Bludgeon Brothers and came up short. A devastating powerbomb sealed the deal for Bludgeons. Jeff Hardy and Shinsuke Nakamura featured in separate promo segments at backstage. They hinted to get into a feud after their physical confrontation from last week on Smackdown.
Daniel Bryan started the Gauntlet match on Smackdown Live against Big E. He eliminated E with a big Kick. He also forced Samoa Joe to get counted out from the match. The Bludgeon Brothers entered the ring and beat the hell out of Bryan.
The Miz ran down to the ring and hit the skull-crushing finale to eliminate Bryan from the match. Rusev joined The Miz in the last match. He delivered a Machka Kick alongside the Accolade to pick up the win. AJ Styles came down to confront him to close this week’s Smackdown.
