WWE: Smackdown Live Full Results: June 5, 2018

Smackdown Live continued to deliver big-time episodes. The GM hyped-up the show announcing a contract signing segment for WWE Championship.

Plus a huge women’s competition took place between two cornerstone performers of the WWE. An entertaining mixed tag team contest was also there. Here are the results from the show hosted by the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Carmella kicked off this week’s WWE Smackdown Live. She went on a rant about her championship opponent Asuka. The former streak holder losing a couple of matches suggests her momentum is over.

Asuka came down to the ring, but Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville cut her off. Sonya wanted another opportunity against Asuka on the show.

Paige came out on Smackdown to announce a handicap match. Asuka took on both Rose and Deville at the same time. She locked in the Asuka Lock to come up as the winner. Carmella confronted her after the match. Mandy distracted Asuka allowing Carmella to hit her opponent with the title. She stood tall to end the segment.

Jimmy Uso and Naomi vs Aiden English and Lana took place next on Smackdown Live. Jimmy and Naomi cut a strong promo before the match. It was an entertaining match which witnessed Naomi taking out Lana and English off their feet with a hug flying dive. English got into the ring only to digest a superkick from Jimmy Uso. The babyface team won the match with this move.

The contract signing took place backstage on Smackdown. Paige presided over the things between AJ Styles and Nakamura. Styles calmly signed the contract before Nakamura came up with heel antics. It forced Styles to slap Nakamura in the face. Officials arrived on the scene to keep things under control. Nakamura left the scene after signing the contract.

Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch had a big match on the show. Becky Lynch went for an early dis-arm-her, but her opponent retaliated. Charlotte went for a moon assault, but Becky countered it by raising her knees up. She then converted the figure 8 into the dis-arm-her submission move. Charlotte tapped out to it to lose the match.

Renee Young interviewed Big Cass inside the ring. He cut a furious promo on Daniel Bryan getting a fluke win at Backlash PPV. Cass promised to emerge victoriously at MITB. Harper had a match with Karl Anderson. The latter one picked up the win via a roll-up.

The main event of Smackdown Live witnessed a six-man tag team match. The lineup was The New Day vs Rusev, Samoa Joe, and The Miz. Chaos broke out outside the ring. Miz grabbed pancakes and accidentally threw those on his partners. Rusev and Joe left the ring angrily. New Day hit him with the Midnight Hour for the win.
