It was the final episode of Smackdown Live before the Fastlane PPV event.

So, the final hype up for the show was built to a great extent. The WWE Champion was scheduled to have a match against the show-off in the main event of the night.

Plus, a face-off and two singles competitions were stored on the show. Check out the results from the event hosted by the RESCH Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Smackdown interviewer, Dasha Fuentes opened up the show by inviting Charlotte Flair to the ring. As an interview was started to begin, The Riott Squad arrived on the scene to interrupt. Ruby Riott took over the mic by blasting Charlotte with a strong promo about how she would fail at Charlotte. They went face-to-face to start a fight when Bobby Roode interrupted for the next segment.

He was present by the ringside to witness the singles match between Jinder Mahal and Randy Orton. Sunil Singh tried to provide the distraction and got planted by Orton. Singh was sent into Roode creating utter chaos. Taking advantage of this scene, Jinder Majal connected with the Khallas on Orton to earn the clean pinfall win on Smackdown.

Becky Lynch and Carmella locked horns in a singles competition. The latter one was in control for the early part of the match. She connected with a hurricarana and a scissors submission move. But, Becky came out of the lock and hit an exploder suplex before locking in the arm-bar. Carmella had no choice but to tap out.

Shinsuke Nakamura was giving an interview at the backstage area when Rusev and Aiden English confronted him. It set up a match at the Fastlane PPV on this Sunday. Also, Natalya and Naomi had a face-off at the backstage to finalise a tag team match at the Fastlane PPV. Naomi will team up with Lynch to take on against Natalya and Carmella.

AJ Styles headed to the ring to cut a promo on his title match at Fastlane PPV. He went on to say the odds being stacked against him at the WWE Championship match. His scheduled opponent Dolph Ziggler came out to confront him before starting the match. At one point, both men were down after Ziggler connected with a zig-zag. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn hit the ring to start an attack on these two.

Shane McMahon came out to book a fatal-5-way match with the lineup being AJ Styles vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn vs. Baron Corbin. Chaos ensued inside the ring that allowed Sami to connect with the Helluva Kick on Kevin Owens to pick up a huge win. He cut a promo about Fastlane championship match to end this week’s Smackdown.
