WWE Smackdown Live Full Results: September 26th, 2017

With just two weeks remaining from the upcoming PPV, Hell in a Cell, we expected the storylines to get heated up on Smackdown Live. There was a power-packed main event stored on the show alongside significant buildups for the PPV. Here are the results from the show hosted by the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona.
After a video package exciting the confrontation between Shane McMahon and Kevin Owens, the latter one opened up Smackdown Live calling out the former commissioner of the show. Instead, he received Sami Zayn coming out. They had a heated encounter which led to another singles match between Owens and Zayn. Daniel Bryan came out to make it official.
Baron Corbin took on Tye Dillinger as the bad blood between the two continued. AJ Styles was present at the ringside during the match. Corbin decided to go outside the ring and threw water in Styles’ face. Later, he pulled Dillinger into Styles to earn a victory via count-out. Following this segment, the US Championship match between Corbin and Styles at Hell in a Cell PPV was made official.
Rusev had a celebration in Bulgarian Style with Aiden English singing the national anthem of Bulgaria. He had some tough words reserved for Randy Orton who used to be the legend killer, once. After receiving an honour as a representative of his country, Orton showed up and connected with an RKO to Aiden. Rusev suffered the same fate, as well.
Charlotte Flair had singles encounter with Carmella. A leash bound James Ellsworth during the contest at one corner of the ring. Carmella tried hard to win the contest delivering some offensive manoeuvres. But, Charlotte connected with a big boot to her opponent to pick up the win. She had a confrontation with Natalya, following the match.
The Hype Bros once again lost a match against The Usos. Jey connected with a big boot to Mojo and delivered a splash off the top rope to pick up the win. After the match, The New Day proposed a Hell in a Cell match for the tag team championships at the upcoming PPV.
Jinder Mahal tried to insult Nakamura for the third consecutive weeks. But, this time The Artist came out and hit the Kinshasa on his PPV opponent to shove him off the ring. Dolph Ziggler came out like The Undertaker making a mockery out of the legend and had a face-off against Bobby Roode to set up a PPV match.
In the main event of Smackdown, Kevin Owens took on Sami Zayn which turned out to be a no contest as the heel one delivered a brutal assault on Zayn. He delivered a powerbomb outside the ring to his opponent. A further ambush was stopped by Shane McMahon who tried to put his hands on Owens. But, the prizefighter decided to back off. He walked away through the crowd to end the show.
