WWE Smackdown Live Preview: December 6, 2016
Dec 6, 2016 at 5:55 PM
WWE TLC was executed so brilliantly that it was well accepted by the WWE universe and people from all over the world. Moreover, it paved the way for further feuds going forward. The holiday season is approaching and there’s no upcoming PPV for the blue brand. So they’ll have plenty of time to get the new feuds ready till the next big PPV, Royal Rumble. Meanwhile, Tuesday’s WWE Smackdown will be hosted by the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. Here’s what we can expect from the night:
Next Opponent For AJ Styles
AJ Styles’ title reign has been a phenomenal one so far. It’s likely that his feud with Dean Ambrose is over for now. So, who’s next in line to challenge him? For Tuesday, a championship match has been announced between him and James Ellsworth. This is due to Ellsworth earning that opportunity when he won the Smackdown contract. Furthermore, reports say Styles got injured at the TLC PPV.
James Ellsworth : The Difference Maker
It was expected that James Ellsworth will cost Dean Ambrose the championship but we did not expect him to turn on the Lunatic Fringe especially after the continuous beatdown he received from Styles, even at the TLC PPV. Well, he still has to get some more from the unhinged one on tonight’s Smackdown. Ambrose will cost Ellsworth his title opportunity, tonight and this will start of a fresh rivalry which is expected to last for a month before Ambrose gets a new opponent.
Alexa Bliss-Becky Lynch Feud Far From Over
It was good to see Alexa Bliss winning Smackdown women’s title at TLC. However, Becky Lynch is totally upset and furious with her own performance. This rivalry is far from over and will continue with an even fired up Becky Lynch who will try to get back what was her. A rematch will surely take place soon.
Nikki Bella Gets Her Next Opponent
The far stretched rivalry between Carmella and Nikki Bella is finally over. As hinted by Carmella at TLC, the Smackdown Women’s coach Natalya attacked Nikki at the Survivor Series PPV. We will see the truth getting revealed on tonight’s show to get a new rivalry between Nikki and Nattie that will not last longer, apparently. This will be a filler feud before Nikki heads towards the title picture, perhaps.
What’s Next For The Miz And Wyatt Family?
The Miz has had his matches with Dolph Ziggler for umpteenth times this summer. TLC has finally wrapped that up with a great match up. Now, the awesome one will get a new opponent. So, who is it going to be? Furthermore, the Wyatt family has all the momentum by their side. Slater and Rhyno will surely be granted their rematch but they’ll fail to regain the titles.
