Edge has been moved to the WWE Smackdown brand during the 2023 edition of Draft, this past week. This could be his last-ever participation in the shakeup process given that he’s admittedly approaching retirement in 2023. Now that new WWE Live Events have been announced from his native country of Canada, speculations have become rife about that retirement aspect being true.
Last night, WWE announced that three more dates will be added to its already-announced August dates for their Canadian tour. The fifth Canada visit for the WWE roster since resuming live events after the lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021 will now have one more Raw live TV date included in the schedule.

Update on Edge’s retirement on WWE Smackdown in 2023
Speaking of these shows, two WWE Smackdown episodes will be hosted in Canada in August which might set up a perfect retirement tour for the WWE Hall of Famer Edge, this summer given that he previously teased coming back to his homeland for a couple of shows, this year in summer.
The last time WWE was in Canada for an episode of Raw, The Rated R Superstar stated to the Toronto fans that he hoped “to come back one last time here in Toronto … And in a perfect world, we all say goodbye to each other that night.” We’d learn more about WWE’s plans regarding Edge once he returns on WWE Smackdown once he returns from his post-Wrestlemania hiatus.
