After a gap of two weeks, WWE Smackdown will host a live taping on the occasion of the go-home episode for Wrestlemania Backlash 2022. As expected, all the final builds around the event will be there featuring the top champions across both brands. A Tables Match has been announced while one-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions will also be in action on the show that takes place at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Uniondale, New York.
Previously, WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos vs. RAW Tag Team Champions RK-Bro in a Winners Take All Title Unification Match was announced for WrestleMania Backlash 2022. Last week, WWE changed that match to RK-Bro and Drew McIntyre vs. The Usos and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns in a six-man non-title tag team match.

WWE SmackDown featured a contract signing for the Winners Take All match between RK-Bro and The Usos. Reigns came out to help The Usos in beating down Randy Orton and Riddle. The music interrupted and out came Drew McIntyre to even the odds for the two babyfaces after which Paul Heyman made the tag team match official for Backlash.
Then on Raw, The Bloodline was in attendance to cut a promo but they were interrupted by RK-Bro. Orton and Riddle appeared from behind and dropped The Usos with RKO moves while Reigns had his back turned on them. A video has been released promising that fallouts will be there on WWE Smackdown on this sneak attack from Raw.
Huge Match For Roman Reigns On Hold For A Big 2022 Stadium Show
The WrestleMania Backlash 2022 go-home show will include a Tables Match with the lineup standing Sheamus and Ridge Holland vs. Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston.
Last week’s WWE SmackDown saw Woods defeat Holland in singles action, while Sheamus defeated Kingston in another singles contest. Woods was put through a table at ringside after Kingston’s loss after which WWE announced the Tables Match for this week. Butch, the tag team partner of Sheamus and Holland is currently missing, as per a storyline.

WWE SmackDown will also feature WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Sasha Banks taking on Shayna Baszler in a non-title singles encounter. Banks’ partner Naomi stole a win from Baszler last week but Baszler and Natalya ultimately prevailed by attacking the champions, after the match. The heel Baszler will try to pick up a win to secure a title match opportunity.
WWE Events Website has Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins scheduled for an appearance at WWE SmackDown taping, while the host arena has them scheduled for a rematch. If it does happen then Rhodes vs. Rollins will likely be a dark main event match following the taping. The two top Raw Superstars have worked on recent dark matches and live event matches while their WrestleMania 38 TV rematch will take place at Sunday’s Wrestlemania Backlash.
