The final TV taping prior to the most extreme night of the year occurs tonight when Smackdown presents the go-home edition for the PPV show. No wonder the last-minute buildups around Extreme Rules will be the main ingredients on the show. WWE already announced a number of segment official for it that is projecting this one to be a compact episode with a solid main event.

Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch Suffered A Beatdown On WWE Raw

Kevin Owens and Dolph Ziggler will finally go one-on-one in a match on Smackdown as per the fallout from last week. A tag team summit will be there as well as the Intercontinental Champion returns to action. Also, Aleister Black will know his mystery opponent for Extreme Rules on the potential packed night that emanates from the SNHU Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Roman Reigns Received A Mystery Partner On WWE Raw

The main event of Smackdown Live was quite predictable since last week the show went off the air with Kevin Owens ‘stunning’ Dolph Ziggler. Both were about to compete in a tag team title match at Extreme Rules. But they instead have to compete against one another as per WWE’s update,

“Though they were given a chance to earn their way into the SmackDown Tag Team Title Match at Extreme Rules by defeating Heavy Machinery, KO and The Showoff could not get on the same page. By match’s end, Owens and Ziggler were trading fists with one another as opposed to Otis & Tucker. SmackDown LIVE went off the air with KO dropping The Showoff with a Stunner, and in the aftermath of that, the two will collide in a one-on-one competition this Tuesday night.”

Rey Mysterio Returned On WWE Raw With An Open Challenge

Now primarily the guess was that these two may have turned on each other in order to set up an Extreme Rules matchup. We still expect the same with just five days remaining from the PPV show. The match is likely to end in a DQ to confirm a rematch at the PPV with an added stipulation.

AJ Styles Vs. Ricochet Set For Extreme Rules For US Title

Another main event of the night will feature a dream match for the fans where Finn Balor goes one-on-one against Shinsuke Nakamura. This comes as fallout after the duo had a confrontation, two weeks ago, (as per WWE.com)

“Shinsuke Nakamura eyed-up Intercontinental Champion Finn Bálor and, seemingly, his title two weeks ago on SmackDown LIVE. Nakamura will now get up-close-and-personal with Bálor when the two faced-off this Tuesday night. Can The King of Strong Style topple The Extraordinary Man and cause a major ripple effect on the Intercontinental Championship picture?”

As indicated in the above line, this is going be the beginning of a new rivalry on Smackdown. For weeks now, Finn Balor does not have an opponent making his title look like a lackluster one. So we predict Nakamura would steal a win on tonight to get a title match against the champion. So we expect the same lineup to get repeated at Extreme Lines. This time the two veterans will fight over the IC title.

An exciting segment should be there on Smackdown featuring the tag team of the division who will compete in a triple threat at Extreme Rules. Daniel Bryan & Rowan will have a face-off against The New Day and Heavy Machinery in a so-called summit which should be pretty humorous. But in the end, the three teams should end up having a physical brawl.

After months of wait, Aleister Black will be returning to competition at Extreme Rules. His opponent is still uncertain considering WWE kept the mystery to raise curiosity among the fans. Well, we are likely to find out an answer to this when Smackdown airs with the latest episode. As per the rumors, either Cesaro or Randy Orton should be waiting to compete in a match against Black.
