The latest episode of WWE Smackdown is going to be graced with the presence of Hall of Famer Kurt Angle. WWE is ready to throw a celebration in honor of the legend’s birthday. The Usos will put their title on the line for the second time in this week against another fresh team. Plus, Shayna Baszler will be in action on this week’s episode which takes place at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

During the December 2 edition of WWE SmackDown, it was announced that there will be a birthday celebration for WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle, this week. It will be a homecoming for the legend as she appears in his hometown of Pittsburgh among the WWE Universe. Angle was born on December 9, 1968. His last WWE appearance came on the June 27 episode of Raw where he sent a video message to John Cena.
Angle’s last WWE match took place in 2019 against Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 35. He came up short in his retirement match which dragged a lot of controversies among the fans. Angle’s last WWE SmackDown match took place on March 26, 2019, where he faced AJ Styles and that match ended in a no contest.

Drew McIntyre and Sheamus received a shot at the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship on this week’s WWE Smackdown in Pittsburgh. It was announced last week that McIntyre and Sheamus will challenge the winners of The Usos vs. Matt Riddle and Elias title match that was scheduled for this week’s Raw in Washington, DC.
That match was changed as Elias was taken out of action via an ambush on Raw by The Usos. Kevin Owens replaced Elias but that didn’t stop The Usos from gaining the pin-fall win and retain. Moving on, Drew McIntyre revealed that he wasn’t medically cleared to compete and hence, Sheamus was without a tag team partner.
Now, it appears that the huge tag team title match on the upcoming edition of WWE Smackdown will have a brand new teammate for The Celtic Warrior. Butch of The Brawling Brutes will be the replacement for Drew McIntyre and time will tell whether the two UK natives can pull off a big win.

WWE Smackdown Preview (09/12/22): Shotzi to seek redemption against Shayna Baszler?
Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey overcame their differences and formed an alliance on WWE Smackdown, a few weeks ago. The pair took out a major female star Raquel Gonzalez on the blue brand. Moving on, Rousey defeated Shotzi to retain her title at Survivor Series 2022.
Rousey’s best friend, Shayna Baszler took out Raquel Rodriguez with a backstage attack and she was poised to do the same to Emma or Liv Morgan if not Raquel would have run down to the ring to make the save. That angle will continue on WWE Smackdown when Shotzi seeks her redemption against Shayna, tonight.
