WWE SmackDown has started its journey with a fresh roster following Draft 2020. Last week, on the season premiere of the show a few Raw roster members appeared but that won’t be the case, this week. WWE is promoting the show as a special edition as the show gets aired on FS1. The original broadcasting platform FOX will be consumed for the Game 3 of the World Series forcing the show to be shifted to the branch network.
SmackDown would mark the go-home episode for Hell In A Cell which will bring together all the hypes for the PPV. Also, WWE Backstage will return, alongside for one night only just after the show goes off the air. As for tonight’s headliner, the respective champions, Roman Reigns, and Bayley will confront their challengers at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.

The family rivalry between the Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Jey Uso has become even tense over the past few weeks. At Clash Of Champions 2020, Uso refused to acknowledge his cousin as The Tribal Chief and suffered a brutal beatdown. They also shared a vicious altercation last week on the season premiere of SmackDown.
Uso tried to throttle Reigns with a Superkick and several chair shots. But The Big Dog prevailed with a Superman Punch. Now, he will reveal the consequences for what he’s promised will be the highest stakes in WWE history at Hell In A Cell. It’ll be interesting to see what message he’d leave on SmackDown before their Universal Title Match, this Sunday.
Last week, a contract signing segment took place, where Sasha Banks and SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley were supposed to sign on the dotted lines. While the challenger played by the rules, the Role Model escaped without putting her sign. Now that the Hell in a Cell match for the title has become official, she must have to do so, or else there could be consequences.

The rivalry between Seth Rollins and the Mysterio family continues as all of them were drafted to the blue brand. Problems for Rollins just became bigger for the new SmackDown savior as his disciple Murphy turned on him, out of affection towards Aalyah Mysterio.
Additionally, Daniel Bryan has also been inserted into the mix while he made his return, last week. Will WWE announce a match featuring any of these names at Hell In A Cell 2020? We’ll find out when SmackDown airs from ThunderDome before this Sunday’s gimmick-based pay-per-view.
