WWE Smackdown will be presenting the second last episode before Wrestlemania 38, this week where we expect the top programs from the blue brand to escalate to the fullest. No official segment has been announced for the night but the champions and challengers for the top championship matches at ‘Mania are expected to be the headliners on the show that emanates from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Back on the March 5 live event from Madison Square Garden, Brock Lesnar successfully defended his WWE Title against upstart Austin Theory. Once the match was over, the champion was attacked by his opponent at Wrestlemania, WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

Lesnar fought off Reigns and The Usos at first, but using the number-games, Reigns hit Brock in the back with a steel chair. Using the steel ring steps, Reigns busted open Lesnar and then finished off the segment by delivering a Rock Bottom finisher on the steps that left the victim irate on WWE Smackdown for the past two consecutive weeks.

WWE Smackdown Preview (25/03/22): Wrestlemania 38 Storylines To Progress 1

As seen last week, Lesnar drove the forks of a forklift through the windows of the SUV where The Bloodline was about to escape the WWE Smackdown venue. Lesnar opened the passenger doors of another vehicle and tried to The Usos but Reigns and his cousins sped away in that vehicle.

Later, Lesnar arrived in the ring and called out the Universal Champion by saying that he is going to do more than blow the doors off his car. Lesnar clarified that he’s coming for blood, and his opponent should better be prepared. With both Lesnar and Reigns being advertised for this week’s WWE Smackdown, we expect another heated confrontation between the two.

WWE Smackdown Preview (25/03/22): Flair vs. Rousey program

The two opponents for WWE Smackdown Women’s Title are also having a rough road to Wrestlemania 38 as the bad blood between them continues to escalate. A few weeks ago, Ronda Rousey punished the champion, Charlotte Flair with an innovative ankle lock in reply to which Flair decimated her with a backstage attack.

Things then went out of hand, last week as Ronda Rousey came out to seek retribution against The Queen. Flair grabbed a kendo stick from the timekeeper’s area, hammered away at the challenger with it, and then punished her with her own submission move with that kendo stick that may have cost a minor injury to Rousey. More on the story should unfold on WWE Smackdown.

Wrestlemania 38: WWE Confirms Changes To Two Top Matches

WWE Smackdown Preview (25/03/22): Wrestlemania 38 Storylines To Progress 2

Pat McAfee was originally advised to issue an apology to Austin Theory, per Vince McMahon for attacking him a couple of weeks ago. But not only Pat had the audacity to ignore that advise but also, he moved ahead to cost a matchup to Theory on Raw against the United States Champion.

Now, With Wrestlemania being just a few days away, it might be time for McMahon to directly get involved in the angle to declare himself as the opponent for Pat, a move that is being rumored for a long time. Will The Boss make a special appearance on WWE Smackdown? We’ll find out on the latest edition from the blue brand on FOX.
