Almost a week remaining for Clash at the Castle, WWE Smackdown brings another episode where the women’s tag team tourney will be the focus. A second chance Fatal-4-Way match is scheduled on the show alongside the second semifinal to determine the final match lineup for this Monday. Also, Ricochet will compete against Happy Corbin when the August 26 episode airs from the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan.
A month ago, Drew McIntyre defeated Sheamus in an Irish Donnybrooke Match on WWE Smackdown to get a shot at the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship held by Roman Reigns. The two are currently booked to collide in the main event of Clash at the Castle.

However, the rumors are on about WWE possibly changing the match as Karrion Kross is also gunning the top champion of the WWE. The returning superstar had attacked McIntyre from behind, a few weeks ago and then signified that he’s not done with the Scottish Warrior.
Meanwhile, Kross has also posted a tweet containing strange video content in it claiming to build ‘his new empire’ on WWE Smackdown. As WWE is promoting to continue the road to Clash at the Castle with a video package, we assume that some sort of update around the main event title match could be waiting for us, tonight.

WWE Smackdown Preview (26/08/22): Changes made to Women’s Tag Tournament
Changes have already been done to the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament after Nikkita Lyons and Zoey Stark were pulled from it due to injury reasons. Another team from NXT was called upon to make their main roster debut in the form of Toxic Attraction’s Gigi Dolin and Jacey Jayne who also got the win over Sonya Deville and Natalya in a first-round match on this past Friday’s WWE SmackDown.
Dolin and Jayne were then supposed to face Raquel Rodriquez and Aliyah on WWE SmackDown” this week, with the winners moving on to the tournament final. But due to Dolin’s injury, that match has been canceled, causing yet another change to the tournament.
WWE Smackdown will now witness a Second Chance Fatal Four Way Tag Team Match where the participating teams will be: WWE 24/7 Champion Dana Brooke and Tamina; Nikki A.S.H. and Doudrop; Xia Li and Shotzi; and Sonya Deville and Natalya.
The winner of this Fatal-4-Way will then go on to face Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah in the semifinals, later in the evening with the winner becoming the second finalist. This team will then face Dakota Kai and IYO SKY on this Monday’s Raw to become the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
Sheamus outlasted Ricochet, Madcap Moss, Happy Corbin, and Sami Zayn in a Fatal-5-Way Match to become the new number-one contender for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. He simply took advantage of Corbin and Ricochet being focused on each other during the match.
A week later, Ricochet and Happy Corbin will reengage in an encounter to start from what they’d left off, last week on WWE Smackdown. This is going to be the third cum rubber match in their ongoing program given they both scored one win against one another in recent weeks.
