Sami Zayn appeared on SmackDown and yelled at the production members for not mentioning him as the Intercontinental Champion. Jeff Hardy cut him off as he’s the legit IC Title-Holder. AJ Styles joined the ring to start a brawl. He put down Hardy with some cheap shots as Sami turned on him. He dropped AJ on the mat before leaving.

Number-one Contender’s Fatal 4 Way was the main event of SmackDown with the lineup of Matt Riddle vs. Sheamus vs. King Baron Corbin vs. Jey Uso. (replacing Big E) Riddle avoided an End of Days from Corbin who took a Brogue Kick from Sheamus. Riddle then hit the Bro 2 Sleep on Sheamus and then hit the Floating Bro on Corbin. While going for the pin, Jey Uso connected with a Frog Splash on Riddle to win the match. Jey will now face Roman Reigns at Clash Of Champions 2020.
