Otis and Chad Gable vs. Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler was the next tag team match lineup on SmackDown where Otis was rolling after hitting the Caterpillar. After Gable made the tag, Otis was knocked off the apron as Ziggler hit Gable with a Superkick while Roode hit him with a Glorious DDT for the win.
WWE Smackdown Results (05/02/21): Triple Threat Title Match
Triple Threat for the WWE Intercontinental Title went down on SmackDown with the lineup of Apollo Crews vs. Sami Zayn vs. Big E. Sami hit E with a Helluva Kick but Apollo broke the pinfall attempt. Apollo then sent Sami into the timekeeper’s area and rolled into the ring only to be hit with a sudden Big Ending from E for the pinfall loss. E celebrated with his title to end the segment.
Hall of Famer Edge made his entry on SmackDown with a pop in the last segment of the night while talking about his potential WrestleMania opponent. Roman Reigns confronted him and threatened him to acknowledge that he is the main event of WrestleMania. Suddenly, Kevin Owens arrived at the ring and dropped Reigns with a Stunner. Edge and Owens left the ring as the show went off the air.
