AJ Styles vs. Sami Zayn on SmackDown ended via a roll-up victory where AJ countered Sami’s Exploder Suplex to win the match. After the bout, Zayn attacked AJ but Jeff Hardy walked out making the save. He brought out a ladder and took out both of them. He hit a Twist of Fate on Sami before proposing a triple threat ladder match at Clash of Champions for the Intercontinental Championship.

King Corbin and Sheamus were walking through the backstage area when Big E made his return by attacking the latter. Sheamus somehow escaped the scene as E targeted Sheamus’ security guard. He slammed the man through the windshield of the car with a belly-to-belly suplex before leaving the scene.

A Samoan Street Fight was the main event of SmackDown with the lineup of Roman Reigns and Jey Uso vs. Sheamus and King Baron Corbin. Sheamus was neutralized after digesting a Spear from Reigns. Corbin sent Reigns into the steel ring steps but Jey Uso hit him with the Universal Championship belt. Reigns hit another spear on him while Jey hit a Frogsplash on Corbin for the win. Jey celebrated on the ramp the ring while Reigns stared him down to send the show off-air.
