Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens opened this week’s Smackdown Live pointing out the vendetta of Shane McMahon against the two of them. They brought the topic of attacking Randy Orton in a fair way where Zayn was not in the ringside area. During their promo, Randy Orton appeared in the ring and hit an RKO on Owens.
Shane McMahon showed up on the ramp in a happy mood after Owens got the punishment. He also announced that at the Clash of Champions PPV, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn would be in action in a tag team match against Randy Orton and a partner of Shane’s choice.

In an entertaining match, Rusev tripped Kofi who was going for a springboard off the top rope. Then he hit a kick to the back of the neck to pick up the pinfall win.
By this win, Rusev and Aiden English were added to the Smackdown tag team championship match at Clash of Champions PPV. In a backstage segment, Daniel Bryan altered the title match for the women’s title. It will now be a Lumberjack match at the upcoming PPV with all the women surrounding the ring.

Baron Corbin had a non-title match against Bobby Roode. Dolph Ziggler was present at the ringside area to make an impact on the match. When both the men were down, Ziggler hit Roode with a zig-zag to get it disqualified. After the referee called off the match, he did the same to Corbin, as well to stand tall.
Sami Zayn and Randy Orton competed in the main event match of Smackdown with Kevin Owens handcuffed to the ring posts. He managed to get himself free and tried to distract Orton. But, The Viper was able to pick up a win via a quick roll up.
After the match, the two best friends started attacking Randy Orton when Shinsuke Nakamura came down as the equalizer. He hit the Kinshasa to put Owens down.
