Roman Reigns is the Head of the Table on WWE Smackdown for more than a year. For 460+ days, he’s been carrying the Universal Championship and defeated the elite league of superstars during his title reign in order to retain. A dream feud against veteran Jeff Hardy was expected to happen once the latter was traded to WWE Smackdown during this bygone edition of Draft.

But then Hardy was released from WWE, recently and that appeared to be a shocking moment for fans. This happened after he walked out in the middle of a match during a house show after feeling sluggish. He last wrestled in a tag team match against the Bloodline (Roman Reigns and The Usos) which could have marked the beginning of a new singles feud that never happened.

The report added that The Charismatic Enigma was not a problem, backstage. WWE also noticed in recent times that he was receiving some loud pops and hence he was being considered for a much larger role. A possible match against Universal Champion Roman Reigns was considered for early 2022 which has now been scrapped,

“Jeff was not an issue. In fact, there was talk amongst the writers that Roman and Heyman were on board with working a match with Jeff at either the Rumble or Saudi.”

On a similar note, hardy was equally interested to share the ring with Roman Reigns for a title match program. WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Hardy appeared together in a Broken Skull Sessions episode. Hardy was asked about who he would love to have a match in WWE.

Hardy talked about moving into a program with The Bloodline, “I’ve talked about this a lot lately – Roman Reigns. The Bloodline, you know, they aggravate me and he always talks about being The Head of The Table. I want to break the head of the table.”

Fans would love to experience this unique program between the natural heel and babyface which didn’t happen in WWE as the spree of releases continues in the WWE.
