Since losing the SmackDown Women’s Championship to Charlotte Flair on the December 30 episode of WWE SmackDown, we haven’t seen Ronda Rousey for almost six weeks. There were speculations that she should be back in the scene to go right after the title but apparently, she since had her eyes on the women’s tag team division and of course on the tag championships.
Following Royal Rumble 2023, Ronda Rousey made a comeback on WWE programming and re-formed the alliance with her best buddy Shayna Baszler. The two have also recently commented on the situation of WWE’s women’s tag team division, seemingly suggesting that they are interested to make an impact. Those comments have also led to a heated back-and-forth encounter on social media with Bayley.

Ronda Rousey was basically blasting team Damage CTRL led by Bayley for not keeping consistency in defending the WWE Women’s tag team titles regularly before dropping those to the team of Becky Lynch and WWE Hall of Famer Lita.
The former two-time Smackdown Women’s champion’s comments didn’t go well with the Damage CTRL’s leader, Bayley. Hence, she took to Twitter to respond and take a jab at her part-time schedule. Since Ronda Rousey doesn’t attend live events, this was the logic mentioned by Bayley that she couldn’t witness them defending the titles,
“Please spell the champs name right. And then show up to some live events and watch them defend the tag titles weekly.”

Ronda Rousey ripped off Bayley for defending Damage CTRL
Ronda Rousey was quick to fire back and thereby end the conversation on Twitter by pointing out a match from this week’s Smackdown where women got the time to wrestle only for two minutes. Per the former UFC athlete, Bayley was happy with the leftovers. Plus, it was also pointed out that she was present at a recent live event to watch Bayley getting a beatdown,

On the latest episode of RAW, Damage CTRL members IYO SKY and Dakota Kai defended the Women’s Tag Team Titles against Becky Lynch and Lita. Since the challengers are considerably larger stars than SKY and Kai, a title change was reserved.
Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer previously reported that Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler were “locked in” for a WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match at WrestleMania 39 and chances are high that they will eventually challenge the new champions for the titles.
