In a strange set of incidents, Ronda Rousey lost her Smackdown Women’s Championship, almost two months ago. Many believed that she could probably be gunning for the title at Royal Rumble by challenging the new champion. But that rematch may not be happening as she lost interest in pursuing the title.
It was back at the 2022 Royal Rumble where Ronda Rousey made one of the most impactful wrestling returns of the year by winning the Women’s Royal Rumble match. She then went on to challenge Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown Women’s Championship at Wrestlemania. She came up short but then eventually won the title a few weeks later at Wrestlemania Backlash in May.

The second title run of Ronda Rousey with the Smackdown Women’s Championship ended with the returning Charlotte Flair in a sudden manner as the latter emerged in the ring from an eight-month hiatus. Now, the former Women’s Champion is ready to move on from the singles title picture and pursue the one women’s title on the main roster that she hasn’t held and that’s the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.

Ronda Rousey intends to go after Women’s Tag Team Titles
During an episode of her gaming stream on Youtube, Ronda Rousey discussed her loss to Charlotte Flair for Smackdown Women’s Championship. It was asked the now-defeated champion whether she intends to gain her title back. But the former UFC Superstar has no whatsoever interest in going after Flair to avenge the loss.
As per the transcriptions by Fightful, she will go after the tag titles instead,
“I don’t know, guys, I’m kind of tired of Charlotte. I’m tired of that title. I already did it, you know? I’m thinking of taking over the tag division.”
It’s a no-brainer that the tag team partner for Ronda Rousey will be her friend and fellow MMA fighter Shayna Baszler. There was some tension between the two of them that fueled up rumors of a potential Wrestlemania showdown between the two. However, they will continue to team up in the near future in order to dethrone Damage CTRL (Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai) from their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship reign that started in the Fall of 2022.
