AJ Styles def. Jimmy Uso
AJ Styles had easy singles win on WWE Smackdown as he planted Jimmy Uso with the Styles Clash. With these odd singles matchups for two weeks now, Styles’ booking is stronger than ever.
In a backstage interview, Titus O’Neil promised to take the US championship from Rusev. After that, Natalya came out to cut a heel promo and why should she now take care of herself and not anybody else. Becky interrupted her but Nattie decided to leave as The Irish Lass-kicker attacked her to get some payback. A poor booking for Natalya to say the least, as she was robbed of the title and forced to take the unnecessary heel turn.
Chris Jericho def. Dean Ambrose
With this loss, it is now evident that Chris Jericho will replace Roman Reigns in the triple threat match at Battleground. The new WWE world heavyweight champion was handed a loss by interference from Seth Rollins who was present for ringside commentary table. Jericho took the fullest advantage of the distraction and picked up the win via a roll-up. It was least expected that the just become champion would be booked for a loss, all of a sudden.
