WWE Smackdown spoilers: April 14, 2016 1

WWE Smackdown was taped from San Diego, California and kicked off with the Miz and his wife Maryse standing in the ring with the MizTv. They got a good heat to start off the show. They started to talk trash and got interrupted by Zack Ryder who comes out for a match. Miz gave a hint to hand him a title shot but Ryder was already booked in a match with Baron Corbin. Baron Corbin def. Zack Ryder
The Lone wolf had an easy match and wins it via pinfall on WWE Smackdown. After the match, Corbin gave a beat down to Ryder. Dolph Ziggler came out to and made the save. They brawled to end the segment.

Emma def. Paige
Emma defeated Paige in a quick match up. Paige took a nasty bump in between the match but looked ok aftermath. Paige is given with the duty to carry the jobbers which are total waste of a talent like her.

Enzo and Cass def. the Ascension
The fresh arrival Enzo Amore and Colin Cassado picked up an easy win against The Ascension to advance in the tag team tournament. Enzo and Cass were over big time and looked awesome in the ring. Not to mention, they got as usual pop from the crowd.

AJ Styles def. Alberto Del Rio
After a heated backstage segment, Styles had a match with the Mexican brat. It was a good match but Del Rio botched a move and Styles landed on his neck. He picked up the win with a roll-up but may have injured himself with that botched one. Hopefully, his condition was ok but he left holding his neck on the way to the locker room.

Vaudevillains def. Goldust and R-Truth
The new arrivals picked up the win quite easily on WWE Smackdown against two of the veterans who are going nowhere with the “Golden Truth.”

Sami Zayn vs. Chris Jericho
It was a hot main event on WWE Smackdown with Dean Ambrose and Kevin Owens being present at the ringside and providing the distractions. The actions were fast in the ring whereas it was enough entertainment outside the ring. Owens interfered to cause the disqualification and the babyfaces stood tall to end WWE Smackdown.
