Madcap Loss headed into the biggest match of his WWE Smackdown tenure, this week as he participated in the main event capacity. With his girlfriend Emma by his side, he got his first opportunity at the Intercontinental Championship held by GUNTHER. However, making the speculations true, he failed to overcome the Ring General for the title.
Moss had rallied for some time in the final match of WWE Smackdown. After downing GUNTHER with a Fallaway Slam, he went for the pinfall win but the champions kicked out in time. GUNTHER backfired and faded Moss with a chin-lock submission before finally planting him with the powerbomb finisher to secure the win.

After her boyfriend came up short at winning the title, Emma is explaining why he could have probably failed and thereby teased a massive character change for both of them. WWE cameras caught up with Madcap Moss and Emma after WWE SmackDown went off the air.
Moss said that he just didn’t get it done when Emma chimed in to offer an excuse by saying that he would’ve won the match unless the crowd would be turning on him during the match.
“You would’ve, had the crowd not have turned on you out there. Had they not have been so loud or distracting to you in the ring. You would’ve won. You had him beat.”

Madcap and Emma to become a heel alliance on WWE Smackdown
Moss initially hesitated to give his response to the thought but he eventually agreed with Emma, claiming that he lost the match because of the distractions caused due to the crowd’s reaction. Blaming the WWE Smackdown audience only means one thing and that’s a heel-turn coming up for this lovey-dovey couple.
This is the only way that the two can expect to elevate their status to the next level, anyway. Emma made a shocking return to WWE programming in the fall by challenging for the WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship held by Ronda Rousey. Since that match, she hasn’t done anything substantial yet in the first place.
However, as admitted during an interview with Ryan Satin’s Out of Character podcast, Emma was seemingly happy about getting to work with her real-life love on WWE Smackdown,
“We never really thought it would happen and we didn’t discuss it with other people…he has his own ideas and I have mine. I just thought, ‘okay, they’re bringing me back,’ and I had this and that in my mind, and a week or two in, they said, ‘we’re going to put you guys together.’ ‘This is cool, we get to be together and an on-screen couple, what a cool thing.’ We’re definitely making the most of it.” (quotes courtesy Fightful)
