A few weeks ago on WWE Smackdown, Jey Uso quit the WWE after getting betrayed by Jimmy Uso at Summerslam 2023. The reigning Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns was able to retain his title due to that betrayal and the initial belief was that Jimmy was trying to get himself aligned with The Tribal Chief.
But Jimmy later made it clear that he has nothing to do with Roman Reigns. Rather, he just wanted to protect his brother from getting corrupted like Roman which was the apparent reason for the betrayal. During this week’s episode of WWE Smackdown, that aspect was once again reminded as Jimmy confronted John Cena.
Jimmy asked what John Cena was doing there as WWE Smackdown fans came to see him, not the 16-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Uso also said that he did what he did at SummerSlam to save Jey from being corrupted like Roman Reigns or John Cena. Jimmy also tried to superkick Cena, but Cena dodged the move and laid him out with the Attitude Adjustment.

WWE Smackdown: Jimmy Uso still wants to be with The Bloodline
Surprisingly, later on WWE Smackdown, Jimmy Uso signaled of still with Roman Reigns by helping Solo Sikoa win a match against AJ Styles. In this main event match of the September 1 episode, AJ was going for the Phenomenal Forearm when Jimmy Uso interfered and pushed AJ off the ropes. This allowed Solo to pick up the win.
Jimmy then hugged Solo from behind and went for a celebration, but Solo grabbed Jimmy and tried to hit the Samoan Spike. Paul Heyman stopped him as Jimmy then superkicked AJ and and hit him with the Uso Splash. Then WWE Smackdown went off the air with Jimmy raising his finger in the air which was an essential indication that Jimmy still intends to stay with The Bloodline.
The Bloodline storyline gets complex with each passing week with newer dimensions coming up. After Jey was betrayed, many believed that Jey vs. Jimmy would go down at Payback 2023. But Jey then went into a hiatus from WWE Smackdown. The current belief is that the big match has been reserved for Wrestlemania 40 in Philadelphia.
