Starting from 2018, his current WWE run is his most successful to date. This is for the first time, WWE has finally utilized his immense talent in the main event scene as a dominant character. After staying on the Raw brand since then, he was finally drafted to WWE Smackdown during the latest edition of WWE Draft Night One, this past Friday Night.

Even before appearing officially on TV as a WWE Smackdown Superstar, Bobby Lashley decided to send a warning to Roman Reigns for the undisputed WWE universal championship which seems fitting to head straight into the title picture. Lashley took to Twitter and commented on his return to the blue brand after almost 15 years,

“It’s been a minute #SmackDown!! ? @WWERomanReigns.”

Roman Reigns has been the champion on WWE Smackdown for almost 3 years

Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has almost every top name available on WWE SmackDown in his almost 3-year reign as the title-holder. In the latest, he defeated Cody Rhodes to retain his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the main event of WrestleMania Hollywood Night Two on April 2.

With The Draft 2023 approaching closer, rumors were already there that WWE had plans to bring some strong names to WWE SmackDown that Roman hasn’t faced during his ongoing title, reign so far. That list obviously includes the former “The All Mighty” Bobby Lashley. In return, Drew McIntyre was drafted back to Monday Night Raw.

Apart from Lashley, Roman Reigns is reportedly scheduled to collide against AJ Styles, with his title on the line, according to Xero News. Styles, alongside The O.C. members (Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson & “Michin” Mia Yim), were drafted to WWE SmackDown during Night One of the Draft 2023. This was Styles’ first appearance on TV since getting injured in December 2022 on an untelevised live event.
