Triple H has been the head honcho of WWE TV products since Vince McMahon left the spot in late July. During this week’s Smackdown Season premiere, he made his maiden appearance in that new role to lay down a grand welcome to the WWE Universe on FOX TV.
Much to the delight of the audience watching at home and at the venue, Paul “Triple H” Levesque made his first on-screen appearance since being named the WWE Chief Content Officer on the October 7 episode of Smackdown. This marked only his second on-screen appearance of 2022 following another surprise appearance during Wrestlemania 38 Night Two.

Triple H announced no more an active in-ring performer
Triple H then officially welcomed viewers to the new season of SmackDown on Fox, but then he flipped over his microphone to reveal another cryptic “white rabbit” QR code. This new tease came just a night before WWE’s Extreme Rules premium live event on October 8 while a follow-up vignette also promised that some sort of revelation will be there around these codes at the PLE night.
While it was good to see that WWE Hall of Famer gracing Smackdown on FOX, Triple H has already made numerous such media appearances to talk about the changes in leadership in WWE and his role in the creative process. Almost, six months ago, Triple H opened night two of WrestleMania 38, hoping to give some bright news to the WWE fans. However, an unfortunate situation made him hang up his boots in the ring to signify his official retirement from in-ring competition.
Apart from this appearance on Smackdown, Triple H will also be there on TV for Raw which will also have its season premiere episode on October 10. Apart from seeing the fallouts from the Extreme Rules event, D-Generation X members will be on board to celebrate its 25th anniversary from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on Monday.
