Fans eagerly anticipated Ronda Rousey’s return to WWE Smackdown following his abrupt hiatus from the final edition of 2022 onward. She quickly involved herself in a feud with Natalya. Shayna Baszler is also accompanying her, each week to gradually transform her into a tag team performer.
Taking forward that stint, Ronda Rousey was scheduled to perform in a tag team match on WWE SmackDown. Teaming up with Baszler, she was supposed to take on Natalya and Tegan Nox. The match was scrapped from the card just before the show went on the air but Rousey still make an appearance on the show in an injured state.

Michael Cole revealed on WWE Smackdown that Ronda Rousey was injured during a brawl with Tegan Nox before the show. In the main show, it was seen that Ronda was clutching her arm during the entrance. After coming out, we spotted that it was actually hanging from a sling. She also told Nox that she should’ve completely destroyed it.

Whatever her condition was, The Baddest Woman on the Planet accompanied Shayna Baszler to her singles match against Tegan Nox, who was accompanied to the ring by Natalya. Baszler won the match but the talking point coming out of the match was Rousey as WWE informed that she could have potentially broken her arm.
Heading into WWE Smackdown, Sean Ross Sapp, a journalist behind the Fightful paywall, provided an update on the whereabouts of Ronda Rousey which stated that the former champion along with Natalya, was always present, backstage on the show,
“Natalya and Ronda Rousey are both set for tonight’s show.”
It’s up in the air whether Ronda Rousey is legitimately dealing with some sort of injury or WWE was just planting some kayfabe storylines to portray an injury to keep her away from the action.
Since coming back on WWE Smackdown, Ronda Rousey has been focused on winning the Women’s Tag Team Championships with Shayna Baszler. At present, the division was shaken up in a big way with Lita and Becky Lynch winning those titles. The projected WWE Women’s Tag Team Title match at WrestleMania 39 calls for Lita and Lynch to defend against Rousey and Baszler. We’ll have to see whether Rousey’s injury would come into play in the situation.
