Tuesday Night Smackdown Live was hosted last night at the Valley View casino center in San Diego, California. WWE Smackdown has been a must watch since the brand extension draft and hence we expected something bigger as we head towards the returning No Mercy PPV on this upcoming Sunday.
The No Mercy PPV is headlined by a blockbuster triple threat main event match for the WWE World Championship. AJ Styles will defend his title against John Cena and Dean Ambrose in a match where everything will be legal. As per triple threat’s rule, the match will be a no disqualification and hence AJ’s dirty tricks will not be counted as No Disqualification. But since Backlash is over, Styles did not get the chance to gain the upper hand on his opponents. So, this was supposed to be his last chance to stand tall on his two opponents on the last Smackdown before No Mercy.
With the being said, we had a face-off among all the three competitors on the go home Smackdown show. AJ Styles was out first as he started bragging about how he runs the place. Ambrose interrupted him by saying “the clown that runs the town.” John Cena came out but Styles never gave him the opportunity to talk. Ambrose further insulted the Cenation leader saying he is “master of the political son.”
Cena had enough of this and straight went after Ambrose starting the brawl on Smackdown. He sent Styles out of the ring and hit Ambrose with an AA. Styles came right back by hitting Cena with a Phenomenal fore-arm. Then he went outside holding the WWE World title high above the ring. But, the Lunatic was not done yet. He caught the champion on the ramp and floored him right there with a Dirty Deeds. The show ended with Ambrose holding the title.
