After months of sharing physical tensions, the revamped LWO and Legado Del Fantasma got into a brawl on WWE Smackdown, this week. Rey Mysterio introduced the newest member of the LWO: Dragon Lee to further announce that it’ll be him and Dragon Lee vs. Dominik Mysterio & Santos Escobar at WrestleMania 40 in a tag team match.
Furthermore, the two respective members of the group, Zelina Vega and Electra Lopez will face each other in a singles encounter on WWE Smackdown, next week. Judgment Day members weren’t happy with Dominik Mysterio not telling them about getting involved in the above-stated WrestleMania 40 match.
Jey Uso will face brother Solo Sikoa on next week’s WWE SmackDown. Sikoa is currently taking advice from Roman Reigns to take Jey out before his scheduled WrestleMania 40 match against his own flesh-and-blood Jimmy Uso. According to a promo segment involving Solo, Jimmy, and Paul Heyman from last night, Sikoa will go all out to keep Jey out of the Mania card.
Carmella Booked To Return For WWE Wrestlemania 40 Festivities
The annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal will also return during the WrestleMania 40 go-home edition of WWE SmackDown set for next Friday night. No contestants for the match were confirmed when the announcement came, last night.
Beginning in 2014, this battle royal has been an annual tradition for WrestleMania weekend every year except 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The match took place at WrestleMania from 2014 to 2019 on the Show of Shows but since 2021, it has been shifted on the final SmackDown before Mania.
Also, before Kevin Owens challenges for the United States Championship held by Logan Paul at WrestleMania 40 in a triple threat also featuring Randy Orton, he will host the latter on the KO Show on next week’s WWE SmackDown.
