Bayley had a great going in the WWE from the end of 2019 and she even had a greater year for the entire 2020, to date. She lived up to the Golden Role Model moniker by holding the SmackDown Women’s Championship and Women’s Tag Team Championship at the same time. She has also surpassed 1 year with the blue brand’s title.

Overall, the environment of a pandemic wasn’t enough to stop her from making history. Now, she is receiving more honor. The reigning SmackDown Women’s Champion has now graced the top female wrestlers’ list of this year and she has every right to be ranked the highest in it.

Pro Wrestling Illustrated has ranked SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley at the Number One spot on their annual Women’s 100 List while tweeting the following,

“Congratulations to @itsBayleyWWE for ranking #1 in this year’s PWI Women’s 100! Preorder your print copy of this exciting issue at https://womens-100.com.”

WWE Superstars eventually captured all the top 5 spots this year as Becky Lynch ranked 2, RAW Women’s Champion Asuka ranked 3, Charlotte Flair ranked 4, and Sasha Banks ranked 5. This reflects that the Women’s Evolution in the company is still going pretty strong.

The annual PWI Women’s 100 issue will hit newsstands on November 10. It will be having an exclusive interview with Bayley. It was noted that placement of the respective superstars has been determined by ‘championships won, quality of opponents, technical proficiency, win/loss records, overall activity, and the push they received from the company.’ Obviously, the former Hugger gimmick holder had to be on top of the list considering the same.

Bayley is rolling into Hell In A Cell as SmackDown Women’s Champion when she faces Sasha Banks to defend the title inside the Cell structure. Her former best friend is in the 5th spot, and she also got to share the cover with the SmackDown Women’s Champion. The title-holder wished that she had that cover all to herself. She wasn’t happy about sharing the cover with Banks or any other WWE Superstars who are in the top position.

“Now if only I got the cover all to myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Bayley-bration, 500 days of Bayley, the year of the Bayley, it just keeps getting better.”
