WWE had gone through another round of releases earlier this year, and some of the top names like Lana, Braun Strowman were trimmed down from the roster. She was put through the announce table for the better part of last year to become a babyface superstar but that work didn’t pay off. It wasn’t enough to keep her job despite giving the very best that she could have given. Now she is looking forward to the next step of her career.
That being said, AEW is the obvious choice given her husband Miro fka Rusev is a mainstay in that company. He has long been trying to pull the plugs so that his wife could join him on the AEW roster. Probably, something positive has happened in recent times as Lana has given away a big tease during her latest public appearance.
Lana Celebrates Aliyah’s Draft To WWE Smackdown With Throwback Bikini Photo
During East Coast Autograph Auctions virtual signing, Lana was asked about joining AEW. She had a very interesting response to the question,
“Well, I’m gonna tell you, stay tuned. I can’t give everything away. I can’t give all the hot tea right now.”
Lana is playing with AEW storyline
Obviously, The CJ Perry is tight-lipped about the situation but she is playing with the storyline that Miro just lost the TNT Title to Sammy Guevara. She reacted on Twitter about the same while she also had a brief catch-up with Sammy during the bygone convention. Being a loyal wife, she wanted to do something to Sammy in a kayfabe way to cheat his way for the title win.
Ex WWE Star Lana Assures Redeeming Her Husband’s Nu*s In Vulgar Tweet
The former Rusev has mentioned his wife several times during his promos on AEW television. It was an indirect reference to make his boss concerned about the potential signing. Perhaps, there has been some backstage ongoing which should be let known in due course. For now, Lana and Rusev want to be silent on the issue.
Lana may just want to keep the lid on her eventual AEW arrival but that has already been speculated for sometimes, now. Most of the departed WWE Superstars got themselves hooked up with the Tony Khan-owned company, anyways. So, it appears that another former WWE superstar’s signing is just a matter of time.
