The name of Nikki Bella has become more than just a WWE Superstar, over the years although she’s no more associated with the company. She had become a global brand with her efforts despite the fact that a broken neck didn’t allow her to continue wrestling in WWE. But her career has always been filled with great opportunities so far. After all, very few can claim that she has her own television reality show on a national TV network.
Apart from that, the WWE Hall of Famer almost snagged a big hosting gig in the United States that could have increased her popularity with a wider portion of the mainstream audience but sadly that was pulled off. It wasn’t specified who or how the opportunity was taken away but at least, we now know that she was selected for a hosting role.
During The Bellas podcast, Nikki Bella revealed that she auditioned for the hosting gig on Love Island USA. That landed her in a binge-watching session of Love Island UK as she had to be acquainted with the format of the, after all. In the end, Arielle Vanderberg was finalized and the WWE superstar had to be satisfied with the runner-up spot.

Nikki Bella shared her bitter experience with a show
“I auditioned to be the host for Love Island USA, that’s how I got hooked on Love Island UK. When I had the audition, I had to get familiar with the show. I got hooked and it made me really want [the role]. When I auditioned, I got a callback and I was really bummed because I was the runner up. Arielle Vandenberg, she’s the current host. If she would’ve said no, I would’ve been the host,” stated the elder Bella.

After losing out on that role in 2019, Nikki Bella then auditioned for a second reality television competition dating show on MTV. As she was preparing for the new gig, she was let known that she was pulled from the show. The former WWE Divas Champion didn’t mention any name and we don’t know whether MTV or WWE was behind the decision. But you can check out the statement made by her,
“After I lost the job for Love Island USA, which I was really upset about, I got another audition to host Ex on the Beach on MTV. I got it. This was my heaven. I booked the gig and I was so excited. I couldn’t believe I was going to be the new host of Ex on the Beach. Two days before I was leaving — I’m not going to say names — I was pulled. Mainly dealt with the reality show I was on. I was so upset.”
Brie and Nikki Bella entered the world of reality TV, all the way back in 2013 with the WWE Total Divas show. Following the success, they were awarded the spin-off series, WWE Total Bellas. Apart from that, Nikki was part of the Dancing with the Stars competition where she found her life partner cum fiancée, Artem Chigvintsev.
