WWE News: Stephanie McMahon Comments on Conor McGregor Coming to WWE 1

The association between WWE and UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) is quite undeniable. For a long time now, the MMA fighter like Ronda Rousey is being rumoured to be a part of the WWE.

One of the dominant female fighters, Shayna Baszler, has already competed at the Mae Young Classic. She also signed a contract with the WWE to become a full-time performer in the future.

Also, the behemoth name in the MMA industry, Conor McGregor has also been speculated to come to the WWE and have a match. Previously, he made a mockery out of the WWE Superstars with nasty comments, and they did not like it, at all. It was thought to be a setup for him signing with the WWE.

However, that never come to fruition despite the officials believing that Conor is a great fit for the WWE kind of environment. Recently, Conor McGregor had a money-making fight with Floyd Mayweather which earned the latter one his 50th victory in his career. It was supposed to be a one-sided fight for Floyd. But, eventually, Conor put up a heck of resistance for his opponent.

Going forward, the speculations are quite higher with the Notorious One probably getting a WWE contract and eventually sign on it. It would bring a mainstream attention to the biggest pro-wrestling world that they have always wanted in the bigger PPVs like Wrestlemania or Summerslam.

Recently, in the Leaders in Sports convention at Stamford Bridge, Stephanie McMahon was asked whether Conor would be fit to the WWE roster. She came up with a positive nod and also kept the door open for the UFC fighter. Check out the comments from the Raw Commissioner, (courtesy Mirror Sport).

“I think Conor would be a perfect fit with WWE. He certainly has the personality and the athletic ability, the appeal. He speaks his mind, he’s very genuine and authentic, and he has a hell of a Vince McMahon swagger.”

Also, in a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Stephanie acknowledged the fact that WWE’s offer to Ronda Rousey is still intact which means there are some real chances to witness the former bantamweight champion in the squared circle at Wrestlemania 34.
