The Smackdown women’s championship match at Stomping Grounds occurred with huge anticipation since Alexa bliss featured in it. It was after a long time that the bonafide former champion returned to the title picture and that too overcoming a career-threatening injury. She had the upper hand heading into the match against Bayley since Nikki Cross was standing by her side.

However, that did not favor her as Bayley threw Alexa Bliss into the turnbuckles and delivered a suicide dive to Nikki. Bliss caught her with a Code Red outside the ring and set up for the Twisted Bliss when Bayley put up her knees. At the same time, Nikki distracted the referee trying to interfere in the match. Bayley capitalized with Bayley-to-belly to pin Bliss and retain her title at Stomping Grounds.

Alexa Bliss appeared for a special edition of Moment of Bliss with the women’s champion, Bayley to try her luck in a #1 contender’s match. As you can see above, the match had all the tools to be an explosive one. Bayley was going through her first-only title defense at Stomping Grounds whereas Alexa Bliss returned to the title picture after almost 10 months. The challenger is a five-time champion who established herself to be a veteran when it comes to winning championships. However, this time around, she has to stay away from picking up the title since she is a Raw superstar, probably.
