WWE Summerslam 2017: Full Match Card with Predictions 1

The 2017 edition of Summerslam PPV will be conducted this Sunday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. All eyes of the WWE Universe will be glued to the television which is known as the biggest event of the summer. Being a dual brand PPV, superstars from both Raw and Smackdown will feature in this event.

The match card is a stacked with a bigger fatal-4-way match that is supposedly going to be the main event of the night. Except for the Intercontinental Championship, each of the titles from both the brands will be on the line.

As for the Indian fans, Summerslam will be streamed live on the Ten 1 Network from 4.30 AM onwards. You can switch to the Hindi version of the show if subscribed to the WWE Network. Check out the entire match card with the predictions, here.

Akira Tozawa vs. Neville (WWE Cruiserweight Championship)

Prediction: The longest reign in the Cruiserweight division has finally ended on the last episode of Raw, and it is unlikely to end this quick. So, Tozawa will retain on the kick-off show.

Alexa Bliss vs Sasha Banks (Raw Women’s Championship)

Prediction: Sasha Banks should win this match to end Bliss’ title reign. However, considering her bad luck in big events, and how much dependable the champion is, she is still the favourite to retain the championship.

Cesaro and Sheamus vs Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins (Raw tag team Championship)

Prediction: This match might turn out to be the show-stealer of the night. Sheamus will be out of action following Summerslam for movie commitment, and hence we are getting new Raw tag team champions in Ambrose and Rollins.

The New Day vs. The Usos (Smackdown tag team Championship)

Prediction: Two of the veteran tag teams will collide to give us yet another A match, for sure. In the end, the chances are quite low that we will see a title change, as The New Day has won the championship just a PPV ago.

Finn Balor vs. Bray Wyatt

Prediction: Considering that Bray Wyatt has won the earlier matchup between this two, Balor is supposed to take his revenge at Summerslam by winning this match. Also, he is a clear favourite in this match with his demonic avatar.

John Cena vs Baron Corbin

Prediction: We might see yet another burial of talent at the hands of John Cena. Considering, Cena is heading to Raw on Monday, he will go along with a big win over his wings that will get him the needed momentums.

Big Show vs Big Cass (Enzo Amore locked inside shark cage)

Prediction: Big Cass is a clear winner in this contest considering that Big Show will do his role of a jobber. The chances are that Enzo will turn into a heel during this match costing the match for Show. We will see a shocking reunification of Enzo-Cass, afterwards.

Randy Orton vs Rusev

Prediction: This might be treated as the process of bringing Rusev to the main event spotlight. So, a win against Orton will work wonder for him. Hence, the creative is supposed to go to the easy route of giving him a win.

Naomi vs Natalya (Smackdown Women’s Championship)

Prediction: At this point, the chances are low that Natalya will win another women’s title defeating the strong champion, Naomi. However, a title change can occur if Carmella decides to cash it in once Naomi retains her title in the match.

AJ Styles vs Kevin Owens (US title match with Shane McMahon special guest referee)

Prediction: Shane McMahon will turn out to be the deciding factor in this match. AJ Styles will walk out as the winner with Owens blaming it on McMahon for the loss. It will continue the rift between these two superstars, going forward.

Jinder Mahal vs Shinsuke Nakamura (WWE Championship)

Prediction: The buildup to this championship match has been done on a low note. It might be the indication that there would not be any championship change at the Summerslam. The rivalry between Nakamura and Jinder will continue even after the PPV.

Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns vs Samoa Joe vs Braun Strowman (WWE Universal Championship)

Prediction: There have been quite a few teases of Brock Lesnar retaining the title at Summerslam. So, after a chaos among the behemoths, it will be none other than the beast incarnate who will walk out as the champion. He is already being advertised to appear on Raw on the very next night which means Sunday night will not be his last appearance in the WWE.
