High drama unfolded at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vega, last night as Brock Lesnar finally made his return at WWE Summerslam 2021. After a long wait, The Beast was back in a WWE ring following a hiatus of one and a half years since Wrestlemania 36. Going by his actions, he’s coming after the Universal Title held by Roman Reigns on Smackdown. That being said, Reigns have also retained his title in his match against John Cena.
The Cenation Leader was seen amped up making his entrance at WWE Summerslam 2021 showcasing his previous 16 title reigns while Roman got a special entrance surrounded by Paul Heyman and The Usos who are still the reigning Smackdown Tag Team Champion by defeating Rey and Dominik Mysterio at the PPV event.
Midway through the match, Cena hit Reigns with an Attitude Adjustment but Reigns kicked out and hit his opponent with a Drive-By instead. Reigns then ran down with a spear but Cena countered with an AA right through the announce table. Reigns still kicked out as Cena climbed up the top rope for a super Attitude Adjustment from the second rope. Reigns still kicked out of the move as the audience was literally in shock.

Roman Reigns retained his title at WWE Summerslam 2021
The finish of WWE Summerslam 2021 main event was as clean as possible where Reigns rocked Cena with a blow to the face. Reigns downed Cena with a Superman Punch, and another one to drop him flat on his back. Reigns yelled at him and waited in the corner for him to get up as he connected with the spear for the pinfall win to retain.

Roman Reigns stood tall as Paul Heyman brought the title to him. The music hits as Reigns celebrated. The music then interrupted as Brock Lesnar returned, sending Allegiant Stadium into a frenzy. Lesnar stood on the ring steps with a new look and smiled while staring Reigns down.

Roman Reigns raised the Universal Title in the air and backed down as Lesnar’s music started backing up. The two titans exchanged intense looks with each other as WWE Summerslam 2021 went off the air.
