WWE hosted a Supersized Smackdown on FS1 this week which was the final edition before Crown Jewel 2021 PPV event. Apart from the appearances from Brock Lesnar, Edge and the main event featuring Sasha Banks and Smackdown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, a couple of semi-finale matchups for King of the Ring 2021 tournament and Queen’s Crown were also there on the card.
In the opening match of WWE Supersized SmackDown, Finn Balor defeated Sami Zayn in the blue brand semi-finals of the 2021 King of the Ring Tournament. Balor defeated Zayn with his pendant drop-kick to the turnbuckles followed by the Coup de grace stomp to pick up the pinfall win.

Now, he will head over to Crown Jewel for the tournament finals against the winner of Monday’s RAW semi-finals match between Xavier Woods and Jinder Mahal.
WWE Supesized SmackDown also witnessed Zelina Vega defeating Carmella in the blue brand semi-finals of the inaugural Queen’s Crown Tournament. Vega took the upper hand from interference by Liv Morgan who was holding the face-protective mask of Carmella to distract the latter one. Vega picked up the win via a roll-up and she will now advance to the finals at Crown Jewel, against the winner of Doudrop vs. Shayna Baszler on Monday’s RAW.

Champion vs. Champion match taped at Supersized Smackdown
In more news from this week’s Supersized Smackdown, WWE was scheduled to tape a Tribute to the Troops match from the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California. They went ahead with the taping in the form of a fresh champion vs. champion match that is likely to be airing in mid-November, only.
News was that The 2021 WWE Tribute to the Troops special is set to feature a big champion vs. champion match. In an update, the match that was taped during Supersized Smackdown was WWE Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura vs. WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, according to Fightful Select.
There is no update on whether this will be the only taped match for the most patriotic show of the year. More details on this year’s format are yet to be confirmed. As of now, the 2021 TTTT episode is reportedly scheduled to air Sunday, November 14 on FOX. News on airing times will be let known while it will also depend due to NFL coverage.
