The women’s tag team traditional matchup for Survivor Series was quite interesting from the beginning. None but Alicia Fox was chosen the team captain of the Raw brand which was quite surprising. We were yet to learn how team Red would perform under the captaincy of the crazy lady. Bayley, Sasha Banks, Nia Jax and Asuka were the other remaining members of the team.
Team Smackdown, on the other hand, was all set from day one. Becky Lynch was chosen the team captain for good, as nobody can deny the straight-fire she brings with her, every time she competes in the ring. Apart from her, Naomi, Carmella, Tamina Snuka and Charlotte Flair were the other four members of the blue brand.

The lineups had changed a beat with Charlotte winning the Smackdown women’s championship on this past week. Due to this, she got removed from the traditional tag team match. Natalya, the former champion was announced to replace her before the start of the PPV.

Team Blue made their entrance first for the contest. Prior to the Raw team’s outing. Stephanie McMahon showed up at the backstage area in a red dress to give a pep-talk to the ladies from her brand, as they went underway into the match.

Becky Lynch started the match on behalf of Smackdown. We were shocked to see her getting eliminated by Bayley at the very beginning. But a big splash from Tamina Snuka neutralised things for Team Smackdown.

Tamina received Nia Jax inside the ring as a brawl broke out. In a heated moment, Nia got eliminated, as she forgot the referee’s ten counts. Naomi was tagged in the match to dismiss Alicia Fox only to get tapped out by Sasha Banks in the Bank Statement.

Carmella entered the match only to be pinned by Asuka, quickly. Natalya entered the match to lock in the Sharpshooter on Sasha Banks and make her eliminated. Asuka felt the combined force of Natalya and Tamina Snuka, after that.

She eliminated Tamina by locking in the Asuka lock focusing on Natalya. The Empress of Tomorrow then pinned The Queen of Harts to become the sole Survivor on behalf of team Raw. Team Raw got the lead of 2-0 with this matchup by picking up another win.
