As per the earlier reports, WWE Raw is set to host the 25th anniversary of the show in January. The special edition of the flagship program of the WWE will be hosted at the Barclays Center and the Manhattan Center in a combined way.
Since this one is going to be a very special episode, numerous WWE legends will return to make the occasions auspicious. Previously, Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash, Ric Flair, Mick Foley, Bret Hart and most importantly, The Undertaker have been confirmed to appear on the January 22nd episode of the program.
Where all of the legends are the former superstars, Undertaker is the only one who is the only active member of the roster. WWE never confirmed his retirement following his loss at the hands of Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania 33. So, there are chances that he might work for one more match, at least.
Recently, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported it depends whether The Undertaker will start a storyline angle by appearing on the Raw episode in January. There is still a positive sign that Taker will compete inside a WWE ring, again.
However, it relies on him, completely. If the Deadman is really ready to involve in a future program, then it is likely to happen during the big anniversary show of Raw. A potential angle is likely to begin on that night. At this point, these are nothing but speculations.
The veteran journalist also gave a strong reason as of why Undertaker’s in-ring return is imminent. For the past few years, he has been pretty much retired except for the one match that hosted at Wrestlemania. Considering this is just a one night only affair which produces a lot of money for him as well as the company, it is hard to give up such a deal.
So, it is likely that we would go towards a positive direction on the verge of the Royal Rumble PPV. There’s also a chance that the Deadman’s name will be announced to become a Hall of Famer on that night. But, the possibility of the same is quite low unless he intends to have his swan song.
