Ronda Rousey was up for a big fight at WWE TLC against a dangerous Nia Jax. This was not the first time that these two were meeting in a WWE Raw women’s championship match. They have met earlier this year at the Money in the Bank event where Nia Jax was the champion. But the capacity changed a lot during the last night’s bout.
Nia Jax has become a face-breaker since the time of Survivor Series PPV. He broke the face of Becky Lynch to earn the mentioned nickname alongside tremendous heat from the crowd. This automatically made her the biggest villain of the WWE Raw roster who has the upper hand against Ronda Rousey.
Heading into WWE TLC, Nia Jax received Tamina Snuka in her corner to build a dominant tag team. They continued playing mind-games with the champion for sometimes. In combined, these two behemoths are indeed an irresistible force. Hence, Ronda Rousey might have walked into her toughest title defense at WWE TLC. But not only she won the match at WWE TLC but also paved the way for bigger storylines for the future.
The match started with Nia Jax displaying her raw power strength. She threw the champion into the corner and wrenched with a splash. Just because the opponent was Ronda Rousey, she fired back with some judo punches. Nia Jax fired back with a DEADLIFT POWERBOMB from which Ronda kicked out. The champion countered with guillotine chokehold converted into the sleeper lock.
Nia tried to come back into the WWE TLC match with a powerbomb. But Ronda Rousey converted that into a FRANKENSTEINER. She sent Nia Jax into the ring-post who started to fade from the match. However, the challenger tried with one last gasp in the form of a Samoan Drop but that was not enough. Ronda Rousey locked in the arm-bar on two different occasions forcing Nia Jax to tap out.

After the match. Nia Jax and Becky Lynch had a backstage confrontation hinting a match is coming up after WWE TLC. By the end of the night, Ronda Rousey showed up again in the TLC match for Smackdown women’s championship. She put down both Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey from the ladder indicating big-time storylines are coming involving all three of these ladies.
