Now, WrestleVotes has added that Roman Reigns may end up facing a surprising opponent at Summerslam. There was an altercation between him and Buddy Murphy on this week’s Smackdown Live which WWE may use to set up a match between the two of them,

“There was a last night talking about adding Roman Reigns vs Buddy Murphy to the SummerSlam card after the angle that went down on SmackDown. Source said it wasn’t decided either way yesterday, but it remains a possibility as we get closer to the show this weekend.”

Moving further, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that the current plan is to arrange 10 plus matches on Summerslam evening. So they will make a way for Drew Mczintye to take on Cedric Alexander by carrying a storyline from Monday Night Raw,

“I don’t expect, out of the ten, they will take any away but Drew McIntyre and Cedric Alexander, as far as I know, is still on the card but not announced, but who knows. I think Nakamura/Ali is a no. Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan is a no. I mean they are pretty adamant about that right now.”

There are also some rumors going on that Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross will also defend their newly won women’s tag team titles. If this happens then it will be the 12th matchup of Summerslam evening. As of now, the official card stands as given below,
