WWE News: WWE Trying To Prevent Top Tag Team From Leaving The Company
With All Elite Wrestling coming to existence, options are now available for wrestling stars to make a name for themselves even outside the WWE. Rumors are going around a few names who may soon leave the biggest pro-wrestling brand once their contract gets over.
The Revival, Scott Dawson, and Dash Wilder are the two names among them who may opt to leave. But WWE seems hell-bent on keeping them on the roster.
Revealed: Brock Lesnar salary for Crown Jewel
This is not the first time that The Revival wanted to leave WWE. Back in January, they requested their release that has become a trending topic among the fans. But WWE was able to convince them to stay after coming to an agreement.
Since then, they have received more importance in WWE storylines and also won the tag team championships on two occasions. In fact, they are the current SmackDown world tag team champions.
A report from Slice Wrestling provided an update on their future in the WWE which may not be very much positive. Dash and Dawson may still be worried about their status on the roster which may force them to quit. Their current deal comes to an end, next year which should be their end of WWE stint unless Vince McMahon can convince them. Here’s more from the source,
“The Revival and WWE have failed to agree on new contract deals and their current deal expires April 2020. The backstage census is The Revival is playing “hardball” with WWE and Vince McMahon and are asking for a mega deal to stay. Which is why no new contracts have been signed. Meanwhile, AEW is preparing to offer The Revival a huge offer as well, and Cody Rhodes along with The Young Bucks cannot wait to sign them.”
As noted by the source, The Revival will become more of an “All Elite” heading into next year. They are likely to get royalty treatments upon arriving at the rival brand of WWE.
Plus, it will also make them wrestling with veteran tag teams like The Young Bucks, Lucha Brothers, Jungle Express and more. Considering their history with the WWE, it’s almost certain that the current tag champs will opt to leave the so-called big league.
