The opening segment of WWE Smackdown Live was pretty entertaining with The New Day coming up with the pancakes and delivering fun promos.
The match between Xavier Woods and Jinder Mahal also turned out to be a good one. Gradually, the former WWE Champion becoming one such opponent who is delivering great matches on every single occasion. Last night was not an exception, as well.
He was given more tasks on this week’s show considering there were a limited number of star power on this episode. So, he came back to attack Bobby Roode after the following matchup which was pretty average. The crowd was only over with Roode’s Glorious shtick. Mojo tried hard to come up with string moves, but that failed to wake up the crowd.
Good opener between Jinder Mahal and Xavier Woods tonight, nice to see them get lots of time to tonight to give the match outcome some actual meaning regarding the current tournament #SDLive

The aftermath happening with Mahal attacking Roode and then the arrival of Daniel Bryan worked a bit for the show. The sudden announcement of the championship match on the main event of the night was indeed a surprising one.
Good six women’s tag tonight, Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan are really starting to improve in the ring after a rough few weeks since the debut #SDLive

The Riott Squad members are delivering good matches on a weekly basis which is a positive indication of their career. They were able to deliver a good match with each of the superstars contributing the matchup. Before the Royal Rumble match, they need to keep the momentum by their side, and hence the creative team did not hesitate to hand them the big win.
The crowd might have been VERY flat tonight in Laredo for the main event, but Jinder Mahal and Bobby Roode worked real hard, enjoyed Mahal still going after the ribs of Roode to tell that story, it’s too bad the crowd just wasn’t into it #SDLive

The final match of US title tournament was another great outing for both Jinder Mahal and Bobby Roode. However, the crowd was quiet for the entire bout. The Laredo crowd was pretty odd in comparison to the other arena of WWE shows which remain vocal. But, both of the finalists managed to work hard delivering the main event match. Roode became the champion to end the night.
Overall, pretty solid episode tonight from the blue brand, was very surprising to see them ditch plans and go ahead to present the finals of the #USTitle tournament to crown a new champion, as a long time #TNA observer it’s surreal to see Roode holding a major #WWE title #SDLive
